A couple nights ago I fed Summer in my room. Summer ate as much of her chicken piece as she wanted, then she carefully laid it under the edge of my bed and diligently started "burying" it with air. She very carefully scooped the air with her nose and pushed it onto the bone. She got a bit frustrated with her lack of progress and tried moving it to a different part of under the bed and burying it again. Once I stopped laughing I covered it with one of her snuggle rags. That made her happy. I wish I had had a camcorder!
Summer is a bright active puppy. She is very energetic. When we go for walks she likes to be out in front checking everything out. But she keeps her people in mind. I have to be careful not to trip over her when she stops suddenly looking for me. She has a good streak of the Airedale independence. She will go off to play and explore but she always makes sure she knows where her people are and comes back often for loving. She would be a fine family dog i
