Surprise! One of our neighbors had a black Labrador female, and had told us she was spayed, even what vet clinic had done it. They moved away and left the Lab in their back yard alone. We went and got her and put her with our Shar-Pei, they got along famously. Well in a few months-the Lab, we had named her Lucy, was obviously pregnant! Oh, NO!
she presented us with 14, yes fourteen, yes FOURTEEN babies! We have chocolate and black, male and female.
The Lab is average Labrador size, and the Shar-Pei male is chocolate and on the small side, so I would guess these puppies will be medium sized.
If you look closely, you can already see wrinkles on their faces. If I didn't know better, I would think they were Shar-Pei puppies, since Shar-Pei puppies do not have wrinkles or curled tails at birth. In fact I have always said they look like Labs but with a BUMP on the nose. We will ahve to see who they look like!
They will be raised just like our Shar-Pei, they are being weighed twice a day-a
